Starting from February this year, Managing Director of Trans Europe Halles, Mieke Renders has visited a number of events where she presented the projects, its objectives, and potential outcomes. She participated in the annual meeting of international networks in Malta where she talked about the projects that the organisation is part of, including DISCE. In March, she visited Balkan Hub Meeting hosted by of TEH members, AMBASADA in Romania. The aim of the meeting was to increase cooperation in the region. It was well attended and gathered representatives of the majority of cultural centres in the Balkans. In May, Mieke Renders participated in the consortium gathering of OpenHeritage.eu where she is an advisory board member. The gathering took place in Berlin and was gathered partners from Germany, Poland, Hungary, Portugal, Italy and Great Britain – find out more here. This same month, she also visited Cultural Forum on Business Modelling in the Cultural Sector hosted by the University of Antwerp where she mentioned the project as a potential strategy to implement new business models.
The project was also presented locally to a group of student from the European Studies Department of Lund University, Urban Creativity Research Group of Lund University and the team of Kulturen Museum (where the organisation is currently based).
