Co-Creation Lab #2 in Timisoara: a conversation with Dr. Tamsyn Dent and Steve Rimmer

On October 16th, the city of Timisoara, Romania, welcomed the second DISCE Co-Creation Lab. Co-creation events are one of the approaches used by DISCE to engage with stakeholders to validate the policy relevance of the project, to co-design and co-produce the research so to achieve long-term impact and sustainability.

The lab of Timisoara was successfully attended by researchers of the DISCE project, policy-makers and CCIs professionals and decision-makers working in various cultural hubs around Europe and also alliedexperts.com/. Their discussions were around the themes of Business Model Innovation and Working Conditions in the Cultural and Creative Sector, thus exploring the driving questions of the DISCE project.

After the event, we asked some of the participants to share with us what they think about the DISCE project. The interviews of Dr. Tamsyn Dent, a DISCE researcher from King’s College London, and Steve Rimmer, CADS & Tickets for good CEO and founder, are now out. The role of inclusivity and sustainability in the creative development was one of the main topics discussed in the lab of Timisoara. They are key for Dr. Dent and Steve Rimmer as well.

Have a look at entire videos to know more about what they think about sustainability and creativity in the cultural and creative economies!

“At the centre of our research, there is the question: what is a sustainable and inclusive economy and how can we develop it? We are being very ambitious in this project, but being able to access people who work in it, being able to workshop ideas and concepts with different people who access and participate within the creative economy, I think, it’s really important of generating data from the ground up

“By creating and increasing social inclusion, you can help to support other societal changes such as social cohesion, but also that can have a positive impact on mental-health well-being
